In our school, a couple goofy guys have made a dress code for the days of the week. They’ve decided that Friday is “Freedom Friday”, where they boast any American gear. It’s starting to feel like one of these boys, who will not be named, is a little extreme….we like to joke and say he’s supporting “Fascist Friday”. However, we’re not joking, because his extreme viewpoints are offensive as hell. Well, Morgan and I decided to play around a little bit and have “Chaos Friday”, where we act and dress like the stereotypical anarchist. It’s brought up some interesting unspoken tension. We know that anarchy is unsustainable, and quite frankly we enjoy having our liberties secured, but by overstating what we need, we can draw some attention. Morgan and I have taken the “political compass test” which you can find here.
According to the test, where we unsurprisingly shared the same results, we are leftist social libertarians—we’re located exactly where the Dalai Lama is. Go down the quadrant a bit and you’ll find yourself at anarchy. Hence, Chaos Friday.
We wrote a pantoum in collaboration on Chaos Friday in our creative writing class. Read that shit below.
This blog is a collaboration of opinions on contemporary issues in American society and government along with global crises. The two authors are Morgan and Liv. We’re 18 and 17, therefore what the old folks like to call “the new generation”, the “generation of change”. Well, we’re quite frankly frustrated as hell with this generation, and we’re gonna rant.
Please note: This is completely biased and opinionated, though we will try to reflect on both sides of the issue at hand.
